Terms and Conditions of Use

The terms “we” “our” and “us” refer to Maid for Geelong , its subsidiaries, and its affiliates, and the terms “you” or “your” refer to any individuals who access this Website. By accessing or using this Website, you agree and consent to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions of Use. 

Welcome to the website of Maid For Geelong. By accessing our site, you agree to these Terms and Conditions of Use and are bound by all applicable laws and regulations.

These term and conditions represent an agreement between Maid For Geelong and “the client”. Your use of our services constitutes your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. We may, at any time and at our sole discretion, modify these Terms and Conditions without notice from time to time. We will notify you of amendments to these terms and conditions by posting them on our website. You may check our website from time to time to ensure that you are aware of any changes.

PRICING
​

Non-Inspection: For quotes provided sight unseen, then these quotes will be given based on the average size house which has been kept in a reasonable state of cleanliness. We reserve the right to change quoted price on inspection.
Any changes or amendments made to quoted price on inspection will be clearly communicated to you “the Client” before commencement of any works.


We recommend that all premises are inspected prior to quoting for greater accuracy in costings. All quotes are valid for (Seven) 7 Days from issue date of quote.


Additional services added on the day of the cleaning will also alter any quoted pricing.

EXTRA CHARGES MAY APPLY IN THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS.

​

  • Property that is not regularly cleaned or been neglected may well require additional hours.

  • Property that has a pet.

  • Houses containing a second kitchen or granny flat

​

END OF LEASE CLEANING EXCLUDES THE FOLLOWING  ITEMS WHICH MAY BE  CONDUCTED FOR AN AGREED “Extra cost”.

  • Mould or Ceilings

  • High Pressure external washing

  • Carpet Cleaning

  • Garages, Sheds and/or Carports

  • Rubbish Removal or Personal Effects left in Property

  • Landscaping and Garden Maintenance

  • Plaster Repairs and Painting

  • General Maintenance and Repairs

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
​

The customer is required to provide us with access to electricity and water. This is a mandatory requirement for End of Lease Cleaning. If the property does not have these utilities, we will do their best, but bond cleaning guarantee will not be applicable.
Mitigations for unavailable Power and Water (Notification Required)
        Portable Generators are available for properties where power has been 
        disconnected before we attend. Generators are hired at a daily rate and the 
        hours of use at the property are not considered.
        Water can be supplied by our staff
Before we start the cleaning, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the property is empty as per our requirement for cleaning.
       Rubbish removal is available and requires inspection prior.

WINDOW CLEANING

Window cleaning inclusions

​

  • Removal and clean on all fly screens   

  •  Removal of any removable windows to ensure full track clean

  • Full track clean

  • External window - (High pressure IF required)

  • Internal window clean.

We will not clean any windows we consider to be inaccessible, structurally unsound or unsafe on the day of the clean.

​

We do not accept liability for any damage howsoever caused during the provision of our services.

Windows cleaned for the first time may require two or three washes before the full benefit is seen, due to the chemical residue left by traditional cleaning methods, or leaching of ingrained dirt from frames and other areas.

 
Claims
 

 Maid for Geelong's public liability insurance will cover damages caused by a Maid for Geelong emoloyee working on behalf of Maid for Geelong up to $1,000,000.00. To maintain competitive pricing, all claims are subject to an excess of $100.00 payable by the client.

The Client acknowledges that due to the service's nature, Maid for Geelong guarantees only to address any reported issues within 24 hours. If an issue arises on a Saturday or Sunday, it must be reported by Monday 12:00 to be considered a valid claim. Failure to do so will result in no entitlement for the Client. Maid for Geelong  may require access to the location of the claim within 24 hours to rectify the issue. Any refunds or adjustments must be requested directly to Maid for Geelong and are subject to Maid for Geelong's approval.

While the Cleaners take precautions to avoid breakages, accidents can occur. Every effort will be made to provide identical replacements, but this is not guaranteed. For this reason, Maid for Geelong advises storing away irreplaceable items (whether of monetary or sentimental value) and/or not having them cleaned by our staff members.

In the event of damage, Maid for Geelong will repair the item at its expense. If repair is not possible, maid for geelong will credit the customer with the item's current actual cash value towards a like-for-like replacement from a Company-approved source upon payment for cleaning services rendered.

Maid for Geelong is not liable for damage resulting from faulty and/or improper installation of any item. It is assumed that all surfaces (e.g., marble, granite) are sealed and ready to be cleaned without causing harm.

Maid for Geelong will not be liable for any failure of an item, mechanism, slider, cable, door, window or property installation which is opertated in the correct manor it was intedend to be used or operated.

Any attempt at insurance fraud or the use of false information for any fraudulent activity will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by both Maid for Geelong and the Insurance Provider(s). This may result in monetary compensation and legal fees.

Key replacement/locksmith fees are covered only if keys are lost by our employee. There is a $30 per location liability limit.

Complaints

All complaints are taken seriously. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as possible to give us the opportunity to address it.

Your satisfaction is paramount to us, and we strive to ensure you are happy.

If the Client is unhappy with an ongoing service, Maid for Geelong requests that the Client notify us as soon as they notice any issues by calling 0433 622 375. Please do not wait until the service is completed.

Liability

Maid for Geelong shall not be liable under any circumstances for any loss, expense, damage, delay, costs, or compensation (whether direct, indirect, or consequential) suffered or incurred by the Client arising from or in any way connected with the late arrival of a Maid for Geelong employee at the service address. While Maid for Geelong endeavors to be punctual on every visit, unforeseen transport and other issues beyond our control may result in delays or necessitate rescheduling of the cleaning visit.

Maid for Geelong shall not be liable under any circumstances for any loss, expense, damage, delay, costs, or compensation (whether direct, indirect, or consequential) suffered or incurred by the Client arising from or in any way connected with:

1. Incomplete cleaning jobs due to a lack of hot water or electricity

2. Third parties entering or being present at the Client's premises during the cleaning process. 

Any existing damage to the Client's property, such as old stains, burns, or spillages, which cannot be completely cleaned or removed by our employee, is not covered.

BOND GUARANEE
 
  • Our 100% Bond Guarantee is valid only for 72 hours prior to completion of clean.

  • If the agent or customer is not satisfied with the cleaning standard of certain areas, we will return within 5 business days to rectify the areas fully complimentary.

  • Please understand that our service does not guarantee items which we had not done on the day of the cleaning and only covers items mentioned on the provided checklist as per our customer’s requirement.

  • We guarantee your property is cleaned to a high standard.

  • Any physical Damage to property will not be covered within our 100% Bond Guarantee and this will void our Guarantee, The Client/Tennant is solely responsible for any physical damage to property.

Maintenance, Repairs,  Plastering and Painting available as additional costs

CANCELLATION / RESCHEDULE FEE
 
  • No charges for the rescheduling fee at least 48 hours before.

  • We hold all rights to cancel the job if we deem the condition of the property is dangerous for safety, health, or wellbeing of our staff or if we are unable to access the property as agreed. Same day cancellation fees may apply.

  • We reserve the right to re-schedule or cancel any service if the property is not as described either in condition or size or if unexpected circumstances occur.

PAYMENT

​

  • We accept cash, master card or visa card. However, there will be an extra surcharge for credit card payments of 2%. 

  • Payment via bank transfer, credit card or cash customer will be charged 10% GST.

  • A tax invoice will be given once works has been completed at the property.

  • Cash customers – Payment is due with 24 hours of completion 

  • Account customers – 7 Days from invoice date.

The site and its original content, features, and services are owned by Maid For Geelong and are protected by international copyright, trademark, intellectual property, and other proprietary rights laws.

If, for any reason, we believe that our Terms and Conditions have not been upheld, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our website without prior notice or liability.
